Kearns Mancini is the Executive Architect for the interior fit-out of Deloitte’s 420,000 ft² Toronto office space in the Bay Adelaide East tower.

I joined the project as construction drawings were submitted and saw it through to substantial completion. My main role on the project was supporting the project architect with construction administration. This included overseeing the online construction administration software, liasing with the client and consultants, drafting and issuing change directives, requests for information, and change orders, completing site deficiency walks and reports, and continuosly updating drawings based on as built conditions.

The project had many challenges including complex stakeholder management, construction while base building was still under construction, and significant cost overruns which all made the contract administration difficult to deal with.
